ALBUM REVIEW
Well here is a CD that proves that it is possible to produce Neo Prog of the higest quality and integrity. This is a surprisingly mature debut album by a band whose influences, while apparent, have been successfully blended into a pleasing whole which manages to avoid sounding derivative, making for a very engaging listen. Whilst I can hear moments that are reminiscent of Hackett era Genesis, Pink Floyd, IQ, Twelfth Night, etc., they are fleeting, and work perfectly in the context in which they are placed. The songcraft is excellent, the flow seamless, the arrangements work beautifully and the performances are flawless. Les Wardle has a voice that sometimes reminds me of Peter Hammill, but is more conscientious about hitting the notes. At other times his delivery sounds distinctly New Wave, which is something I've not heard in Prog before. (Paul Beecham)
