TOCCATA is the name of a current Mexican quintet playing a very symphonic Progressive rock. With such a name, one can expect that the guitarist Alonso ROMERO is a great fan of the works of EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER. And that’s exactly the case! In addition to the virtuosos parts of six-cords, the keyboards are particularly put forward, in the manner of Rick WAKEMAN or Keith EMERSON. One can also note the very latest influences that are comparable to those of DREAM THEATER. The raucous and energetic voice of singer Andrea MEDINA brings the one and only blues rock touch. Their first album “Circe” (2005), published by the labels Musea and Mylodon, reveals a convincing passionate concept of eight songs.
