Initially called « Morning machine and Soft Musume”, Morsof is a brilliant japanese jazz-progressive band, featuring M.Fukushima (sax), N.Uchida (bass) and M.Sawada (drums), and guest musicians on this record on guitar, keyboards and vocals, and trombone. Fukushima also plays in the prog’ jazz band Killing Floor. The band’s name proudly announces the main influence: Morsof loves Soft machine, and their music is in the same vein, an extra-terrestrial music with supernatural sax and a rhythm section full of talent and inspiration. Think of Robert Wyatt, Gong or Weather Report, and you’ll have an idea of this outstanding music, led by an incredible sax. Just brilliant!
