As described on Musea website: SHOWYEN is a japanese band, it was created in 1998 by guitar virtuoso Yasuhiro Nishio (guitars). This rock trio also features Hiroaki Fujii (bass) and Masanobu Tonomura (drums). This instrumental concept album creates the “free concept” idea: the album is untitled, and the listener imagines everything he wants to, while listening to the music! These 15 dense and concise pieces offer a very special progressive music, mixing King Crimson influences with hard rock think of Rush in the seventies, of Dream Theater sometimes, among others –like oriental music. This powerful music reveals talented musicians, who concentrate on melodies more than anything else; powerful riffs and solis, precise rhythm section, some delicate acoustic interludes, a music full of breaks and ideas: a revelation !
