Four Letter Monday Afternoon is Out of Focus' third and last official album, at least the last released while they still existed as a band. The material here is good, but pales in comparison to their first two albums, mainly due to the excessive track length. While I tend to like jazz oriented rock, Out Of Focus just tends to ramble a bit with the genre rather than improvise (i.e. the roughly 12 minutes of jamming before the lyrics on L.S.B. seems more like an overlong introduction rather than improvisation). That said, everything on this album does have it's enjoyable moments. The CD reissue adds While I'm Sleeping which is a shorter, more rock oriented piece which breaks up the monotony a bit.
